Hajj

Q: Hello. I would like to know your opinion about participating in the Hajj and Umrah ceremonies. I read in the book Return to Islam by Allama Mansour Hashemi Khorasani that according to the verses of the Quran, participation in sin and aggression against Muslims is forbidden, and considering that the House of God is currently in the hands of the House of Saud, Muslims should refrain from going to the Hajj and Umrah so that this regime is financially weakened. I would like to know your opinion on the issue raised in the book Return to Islam. Thank you.

R: I do not know the person mentioned, and in matters of Sharia, you should ask your religious authority, and the obligation of Hajj is one of the primary commands of Islam. And changing its obligation to a secondary one is subject to the opinion of your religious authority, and arguments like these do not make an obligatory matter forbidden.
