Fine Wine At Marlborough

Image

Marlborough is known for its dry climate, the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, and Sauvignon blanc wine.

It is a treasure trove of food, wine, arts, culture and scenery just waiting to be explored, and The Marlborough Lodge sits right in the heart of it all. Lots of sun, cool nights, low autumn rains and free draining alluvial soils combine to make Marlborough one of the world’s great wine producing regions. Most wineries can be reached after an easy drive from Blenheim, although the radius of land under cultivation is rapidly spreading. To do the region justice, you should allow at least two days for your visit.

But I think you will not be satisfied in staying just for two day. You can also opt to stay here forever! The people are great, the food is the best and the experience is priceless!

Here in Hokitika Gorge, we can enjoy the excellent views of the blue-green waters of the Hokitika River as it makes its way through the rock sided Hokitika Gorge - this short, easy walk is a great option for kids. and even those kids-at-heart like me!

From the car park, follow the walking track for a few minutes through dense podocarp/hardwood forest before emerging onto a viewing platform. From here you can look down to the stunning Hokitika Gorge and out to the lush farmland of Kowhitirangi. This part of the track is accessible for wheelchairs, just to add.

It will not take you an hour to get there!

I suggest you visit and enjoy a walk through native bush to the stunning Hokitika Gorge. The experience is really amazing. I love every minute of it.

Yes, I was literally in awe! Being a proud native of New Zealand, I must say that people should really visit our breathtaking places here especially Mt. Cook National Park.

Aoraki Mount Cook National Park is home of the highest mountains and the longest glaciers. It is alpine in the purest sense - with skyscraping peaks, glaciers and permanent snow fields, all set under a star-studded sky.

If you are from Queenstown, you will take 2 hours to get there. When you arrived there, I swear you will be astonished with the view. I walked the Hooker Valley Track. It's stunning, it took about three hours, and a great thing about it is it's free. Took a scenic flight. Let's be honest, Aoraki Mt Cook National Park is all about the scenery. Went boating on the Tasman Lake

Although it encompasses 23 peaks over 3000 metres high, this park is very accessible. State Highway 80 leads to Aoraki/Mt Cook Village which is situated beside scenic Lake Pukaki and provides a comfortable base for alpine activities. Far from city lights, the stargazing here is magnificent - Aoraki Mount Cook National Park forms the majority of New Zealand's only International Dark Sky Reserve.

Everything is really amazing about the pace!
