The New Crescent for Ramadan 1434 AH

Dear Believers in North America,
as-Salamu Alaykum,
The Crescent Moon-sighting Committee of the Council of Shi'a Muslim Scholars of North America announces that based on the contentment of its members in applying the methodology of his eminence Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may Allah prolong his life) -- known as the unity of the crescent moon-sighting horizons-- the first day of the Holy month of Ramadan will be Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 for the United States and most regions of Canada, extending from Montreal to Vancouver.
Ramadan Mubarak to you and may Almighty Allah to make us successful and to hasten the appearance of our Holy Imam (peace be upon him.)
